HD to 4K UHD DLP Pico chipsets enable compact high-performance smart projectors with solid-state illumination

Mobile Smart TVs are compact devices that can wirelessly stream content and project it onto virtually any surface. They can take the place of a TV in the home or serve as a portable display. Both applications can leverage ultra-short throw optics to project onto surfaces just inches away from the unit.

  • Up to 4K UHD resolution
  • High optical efficiency enables a big screen from a small product
  • On-demand display disappears when off
  • Compatible with solid-state illumination (Laser or LED)

Low-power ultra-compact DLP Pico chipsets enable high-brightness high-contrast augmented reality displays

Augmented reality (AR) glasses and headsets use display modules that blend the digital and physical worlds. These display modules have demanding requirements for performance, size, and power. TI DLP Pico technology enables small, high-performance, low power AR display modules.

  • High optical efficiency / low illumination power enables a brighter display on a limited power budget
  • Contrast ratios of >1000:1 enable highly transparent backgrounds
  • Fast digital micromirrors that switch in microseconds enable frame rates of up to 240 Hz, high color-sequential refresh rates and low display latency

Small, high brightness DLP Pico displays up to 1080p resolution enable on-demand smart displays on virtually any surface in the home

Smart displays are becoming a common fixture in households as consumers continue to adopt smart home solutions. While basic smart speakers use audio for feedback, smart displays supplement the user experience with visual content such as how-to videos, recipes, and photos. A smart display with DLP Pico technology can create a projected image virtually anywhere.

  • High brightness displays can overcome high ambient lighting
  • On-demand display that disappears when off
  • Compact optical solutions that can fit in just about any product
  • Displays of any shape on virtually any surface in the home

Low-power high-brightness DLP Pico DMDs as small as 0.16” diagonal enable innovative display solutions in appliances

Appliance manufacturers seeking to differentiate their products should consider projection displays that can create an image on virtually any surface. Compact, low-power DLP Pico technology can display information or smart home content from variety of products such as dishwashers, cooker hoods or cooktop displays, and washer/dryers, in addition to lighting, or thermostats.

  • Display on any surface
  • High contrast, free-form displays
  • On-demand display that disappears when off
  • High optical efficiency/low power

High efficiency, ultra-compact WVGA and qHD DLP Pico chipsets enable slim, low-power smartphone companion projectors

Smartphone companion projectors are pocketable devices that are designed to connect to a smartphone and project a big screen. Wireless or USB-C connectivity can enable a quick and easy shared viewing experience with family and friends.

  • DLP Pico technology enables a pocketable big-screen experiences
  • DLP Intellibright™ algorithms enable an optimized image for varying ambient lightning
  • A mature ecosystem of optical module manufacturers and system integrators enables easy market entry

Small, high brightness DLP Pico displays up to 1080p full HD resolution enable battery powered projectors for a big-screen experience on the go

Mobile projectors are small, battery-powered products that can be used as portable big-screen displays for any device with video output, such as laptops, smartphones or gaming consoles. They are small enough to fit in a backpack or a pocket, yet powerful enough to create a 70" or larger display on a variety of surfaces.

  • DLP Pico technology’s high optical efficiency enables low power projectors with up to 1500 lumens brightness output
  • Resolutions up to 1080p in a compact, battery powered form factor
  • A mature ecosystem of optical module manufacturers and system integrators enables easy market entry

Why choose TI DLP Pico display technology?
