FPD-Link serializer and deserializers (SerDes) transmit high resolution video data over a twisted pair or coax cable within an automotive system.  It aggregates video, audio and clock as well as bidirectional control data onto one stream, which reduces system size and cable weight.  Spread-spectrum capability improves the electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance of the link.

Our FPD-Link display SerDes supports 1080p, 2K, 4K and 8K displays and on-device high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) keys and adaptive equalization to compensate for cable aging temperature changes.  Daisy-chain features and backward compatibility across various FPD-Link generations allow for flexible architectures and cost effective vehicle upgrades.

Enchance reliability, security and intelligence

Our portfolio of highly efficient and intelligent backlight LED drivers include both global and local dimming solutions to build innovative and reliable automotive display systems that exceed stringent requirements.

Display power devices provide ultrahigh efficiency while minimizing power losses and helping with the picture quality in automotive applications. Our high-density mini-/micro-LED display drivers with premium visual performances and ultra-low power consumption foster the next generation of display technology.

Design bright, vivid, colorful projection displays using our automotive-qualified DLP® technology

An automotive head-up display (HUD) gives information to drivers at eye level, enabling them to continue looking at the road while also having access to vehicle speed and other information.

Our DLP technology-based HUD delivers a wide field of view, long virtual image distance, brightness and flexible development options to achieve augmented reality HUDs and create a better driving experience.

Transform traditional displays with automotive-qualified MCUs

When vehicles and intelligence integrate, the display becomes the central focus, enabling convenient interaction with multiple scenes and making in-vehicle entertainment smarter.

Our Arm® Cortex® -M0+ microcontroller (MCU) portfolio gives you high-performance and cost-optimized options, and can function as motor control and general purpose in automotive displays.

Streamline your functional safety system certification

Our functional safety products, documentation and resources – including failure-in-time (FIT) rate, failure-mode distribution, and failure-mode effects and diagnostic analysis – can help you meet International Organization for Standardization 26262 requirements and ASILs up to ASIL B.
