The VBG pin serves a dual purpose. When functioning as an output, it provides a buffered copy of the bandgap reference voltage. When functioning as an input, it selects whether the LVDS output common-mode voltage is higher (logic-high) or lower (floating). The LVDS output common-mode voltage is specified as VOS and may be found in Converter Electrical Characteristics: Digital Control and Output Pin Characteristics. The VBG pin is always active, in both ECM and non-ECM.
