8.3.1.1 Input Clamp Circuit

The ADC32RF8x analog inputs include an internal, differential clamp for overvoltage protection. As shown in Figure 8-6 and Figure 8-7, the clamp triggers for any input signals at approximately 600 mV above the input common-mode voltage, effectively limiting the maximum input signal to approximately 2.4 VPP.

When the clamp circuit conducts, the maximum differential current flowing through the circuit (via input pins) must be limited to 20 mA.
