10.2 Typical Application

Figure 102 shows an ADS131A0x device used as part of a power-metering application. The ADS131A0x device is ideal because this device allows for simultaneous sampling of voltage and current. The upper channel is used to measure voltage, accomplished by stepping down the line voltage with a voltage divider. The lower channel measures current directly from the line by measuring voltage across the burden resistors R4.
