6.3.1 Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) Overview

The AFEx82H1 feature a 16-bit (AFE882H1) or 14‑bit (AFE782H1) string DAC followed by an output voltage buffer. Using an external circuit, the device output voltage can be translated to different output voltages and output currents for use in 3‑wire or 4-wire sensor transmitters or analog output modules. The DAC is configured to support a 0‑V to 2.5‑V range of operation. The alarm function is triggered when PVDD exceeds the valid configuration range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V; see also Table 6-7.
