7.3.2.2 Charge Termination and Battery Recharge

The device terminates a charge cycle when the OUT pin voltage is above the recharge threshold (VRECHG), and the current is below the termination threshold (ITERM). Termination is temporarily disabled when the charger device is in thermal regulation. After charge termination is detected, the linear regulator turns off and the device enters STANDBY state. Once the OUT pin drops below the VRECHG threshold, a new charge cycle is automatically initiated.
