8.4 Diagnostics

The BQ769142 device includes a suite of diagnostic tests the system can use to increase operational robustness. These tests include comparisons between the two voltage references integrated within the device, a hardware monitor of the LFO frequency, memory checks at power-up or reset, an internal watchdog on the embedded processor, and more. These are described in detail in the BQ769142 Technical Reference Manual.
