7.5.1 Power-Up Sequence
The following startup sequence is recommended to power-up the DAC31x1:
- Set TXENABLE low to prevent an unknown or undesirable output during the power-up sequence.
- Supply all 1.8-V voltages (CLKVDD18, DIGVDD18, VDDA18, VFUSE, and possibly IOVDD) and all 3.3-V voltages (VDDA33 and possibly IOVDD). The 1.8-V and 3.3-V supplies can be powered up simultaneously or in any order. There are no specific requirements on the ramp rate for the supplies.
- Provide all LVPECL inputs: DACCLKP, DACCLKN and the optional ALIGNP, ALIGNN. These inputs can also be provided after the SIF register programming.
- Toggle the RESETB pin for a minimum of a 25-ns active low pulse duration.
- Program the SIF registers.
- Enable transmit of data by asserting the TXENABLE pin.
