8.4.2 Starting the Motor Under Different Initial Conditions

The motor can be in one of three states when the DRV10983-Q1 device attempts to begin the start-up process. The motor may be stationary, or spinning in the forward or reverse directions. The DRV10983-Q1 device includes a number of features to allow for reliable motor start under all of these conditions. Figure 16 shows the motor start-up flow for each of the three initial motor states.
