8.2.3.3 OLD for Supply (VM) Connected Load

Figure 8-20 shows the supply (VM) connected load with internal OLD circuit. When low-side open load sequence is activated (i.e. SW1_HS is off and SW1_LS is on), the current sink (IOL_PD) pulls down the OUT1 node to supply voltage (VVM) and current flows from supply (VM) to ground via the connected load (RL). Now, depending upon if the load is present or not, there can be three cases as follows:
