PRODUCTION DATA
The combination of a high-speed current sense amplifier and a fast comparator provides a short total propagation delay of 1 µs. The sense voltage (across the shunt resistor) propagates through the output where the output is divided down with the resistor divider to the comparator input and then to the comparator output. An external resistor divider at VOUT sets overcurrent threshold. The total propagation delay is time taken from when the sense voltage (across the shunt resistor) exceeds the overcurrent threshold to when the comparator output drives high. The short propagation delay makes the INA310x-Q1 well suited for overcurrent protection in systems sensitive to overcurrent events.
