Detailed Design Procedure

This circuit ties the CE of each device to the opposite power source. In this configuration, the highest supply is always selected using a make-before-break logic. This selection prevents any reverse current flow between the supplies and avoids the need of a dedicated reverse current blocking comparator. For ORing applications that need RPP, TI recommends to use a series resistor (RCE) to limit the current into the CE pin during a negative voltage event.
