9.2.2.5 Limiting the Inrush Current

To limit the inrush current and power dissipation during start-up, an appropriate value of CdVdT must be selected. The inrush current during start-up is estimated by Equation 12. A 12nF capacitance is selected for CdVdT to keep inrush current less than 0.5 A.
