In EEPROM mode, the frequency configuration of the device is loaded to the registers from the non-volatile EEPROM. The factory default start-up configuration for EEPROM mode is summarized in Section 9.5.9. If a different custom start-up configuration is needed, a different EEPROM image can be programmed in-system through the serial interface. The EEPROM supports up to 100 programming cycles to facilitate clock reconfiguration for system-level prototyping, debug, and optimization.
The EEPROM image can store a single frequency configuration (one register page). Upon request, a factory pre-programmed device with a custom EEPROM image could be assigned by TI with a unique orderable part number (OPN).
