The LMQ61460 step-down DC-to-DC converter is typically used to convert a higher DC voltage to a lower DC voltage with a maximum output current of 6 A. Using a 4-layer LMQ61460, at 400 kHz, the device can sustain a continuous 6 A load up to an ambient temperature of approximately 95°C. If ambient temperature is 105°C and the frequency is set to 2.1 MHz, the current must be limited to 4 A; see Maximum Ambient Temperature versus Output Current.
