Power Supply Recommendations

The LP3988-Q1 device is designed to operate from an input supply voltage range of 2.5 V to 6 V. The input supply must be well regulated and free of spurious noise. To ensure that the LP3988-Q1 output voltage is well regulated and dynamic performance is optimum, the input supply voltage is recommended to be at least the greater of either VOUT + 200 mV, or 2.5 V.
