6.3.9.2.4 MODE Resistor Missing Faults (MODESEL)

The MODE resistor missing or invalid is detected if the resistor is not assembled or not valid value as requested during the initialization. LP8866-Q1 defaults to phase-shift PWM mode with I2C address 0x2A if the MODE resistor is missing or invalid. The MODESEL_STATUS fault bit will be set in the BOOST_FAULT_STATUS register. The MODE resistor missing or invalid fault is not monitored after initialization, so that the LP8866-Q1 operates in the mode determined during initialization even though the MODE resistor is missing or invalid after initialization.
