8.3.6.4 Thermal Fault and Protection (TSD)

If the die temperature of LP886x-Q1 reaches the thermal shutdown threshold TTSD, which is 165°C typical, the boost, power-line FET and LED outputs are turned off to protect the device from damage. The FAULT pin will be pulled low. The LP886x-Q1 will exit FAULT RECOVERY mode after 100 ms and try the start-up sequence again. Only if the die temperature drops lower than TTSD - TTSD_HYS, which is 145°C typical, the device could start-up normally. TSD fault detection is available in SOFT START, BOOST START and NORMAL state.
