Frequency based motor control is configured by setting SPEED_MODE to 11b. In this mode, duty command varies linearly as a function of the frequency of the square wave input at SPEED pin. When 0 ≤ FreqSPEED ≤ FreqEN_SB, DUTY_CMD is set to zero and the motor is stopped. When FreqEX_SB ≤ FreqSPEED ≤ INPUT_MAXIMUM_FREQ, DUTY_CMD varies linearly with FreqSPEED as shown in Figure 6-19. FreqEX_SB and FreqEN_SB are the standby entry and exit thresholds - refer Section 6.4.1.2 for more information on FreqEX_SB and FreqEN_SB. Input frequency greater than INPUT_MAXIMUM_FREQ clamps the DUTY_CMD to 100%.
