6.3.12.5 Overmodulation

MCF8315C provides an overmodulation option to operate the motor at a higher speed at the same VM voltage by increasing the applied fundamental phase voltage by suitably modifying the applied PWM pattern - the higher fundamental phase voltage is accompanied by an increase in higher order harmonics. This feature can be enabled by setting OVERMODULATION_ENABLE to 1b.
