The BSL lets users program the FRAM or RAM using either the UART serial interface or the I2C interface. Access to the MCU memory through the BSL is protected by an user-defined password. Use of the BSL requires four pins (see Table 6-4 and Table 6-5). The BSL entry requires a specific entry sequence on the RST/NMI/SBWTDIO and TEST/SBWTCK pins. This device can support the blank device detection automatically to invoke the BSL with bypass this special entry sequence for saving time and on board programmable.
