7.3.8.1 Digital Interpolation Filters

The device playback channel includes a high dynamic range and a built-in digital interpolation filter to process the input data stream to generate a digital data stream for a multibit delta-sigma (ΔΣ) modulator. The interpolation filters in the device can be selected to linear phase or low-latency filters based on the state of the MD2 and MD1 pins according to Table 7-3. This makes them suitable for a wide variety of audio applications. The following section describes the filter response for different sample rates.
