9.2.2.4 ESD Protection

It may be necessary to incorporate an ESD component to protect the TDP1204 from electrostatic discharge (ESD). It is recommended that the ESD protection component has a breakdown voltage of ≥4.5 V and a clamp voltage of ≤4.3 V. A clamp voltage greater than 4.3 V will require a RESD on each high-speed differential pin. The ESD component should be placed near the HDMI connector.
