Overdrive Recovery Performance

The TLVx365-Q1 family exhibits excellent overdrive recovery when the output is driven well beyond the V+ or V– supplies. When configured in a low-side current-sensing configuration (see Figure 8-1), the output of the op amp (TLVx365-Q1) is often driven to or less than ground as a result of ground bounce at the power ground or the ≤ 0-A current being measured across shunt resistance RSH. The TLVx365-Q1 has the ability to recover from an overdrive event in < 100 ns. Figure 8-2 shows the comparison of the overdrive recovery performance of TLVx365-Q1 and other popular op amps in the same category.
