Threshold overdrive is how much VIN1 or VIN2 exceeds the specified threshold, and is important to know because a smaller overdrive results in a slower OUTx response. Threshold overdrive is calculated as a percent of the threshold in question, as shown in Equation 1:

Figure 16 and Figure 17illustrates the minimum detectable pulse on the INx inputs versus overdrive, and is used to visualize the relationship that overdrive has on tPD(f) for high to low transitions. Figure 18 and Figure 19 is used to visual the relationship that overdrive has on tPD(r) for low to high transitions.
