9.2.1 Design 1 — 2-A Synchronous Buck Regulator for Industrial Applications

Figure 9-1 shows the schematic diagram of a 5-V, 2-A buck regulator with a switching frequency of 1 MHz. The nominal input voltage for the sample design is 24 V. A 13-kΩ RRT resistor sets the free-running switching frequency at 1 MHz. An optional SYNC input signal allows adjustment of the switching frequency for this specific application.
