8.2.1 Design 1 – High-efficiency, Dual Output 5V at 3A, 3.3V at 3A, Synchronous Buck Regulator

Figure 8-1 shows the schematic diagram of a dual output 5V at 3A and 3.3V at 3A buck regulator with a switching frequency of 1MHz. In this example, the target efficiencies is 91.5% at full load, based on a nominal input voltage of 12V that ranges from 6.3V to 36V. A resistor of 15.4kΩ, RRT, sets the free-running switching frequency at 1MHz.
