7.3 Best Design Practices

The TMAG5170D-Q1 updates the result registers at the end of a conversion. SPI read of the result register must be synchronized with the conversion update time to ensure reading the updated result data. The conversion update time, tmeasure is defined in the Electrical Characteristics table. Figure 7-8 shows examples of correct and incorrect SPI read timings for applications with strict timing budgets. Use the ALERT signal to notify the controller when a conversion is complete.
