9.3.4.4 Constant Current Limit Behavior During Overcurrent Faults

When power dissipation in the internal FET [PD = (V(IN) – V(OUT)) × I(OUT)] > 10 W, there is approximately 0% to 5% thermal fold back in the current limit value so that I(LIM) drops to IOS. Eventually, the device shuts down because of over temperature.
