8.3.1.2 Device Selection

Optical modules are very sensitive to supply voltage variations and thus require input overvoltage protection. TPS259830O variant from TPS25983 family is selected to set overvoltage protection at 3.7 V. TPS259830O allows overcurrents for a user specified blanking interval tITIMER before breaking the circuit path. In this use case, tITIMER is set for 6 ms interval.
