VDD

The TPS3704-Q1 is designed to operate from an input voltage supply range between 1.7V to 6V. The SENSEx pins are monitored by the internal comparator. VDD also functions as the supply for the internal band gap, internal regulator, state machine, buffers, and other control blocks. The reset signal is at a known state when VDD > VPOR. The undervoltage lockout forces the reset output to be asserted when VDD falls below the minimum VDD voltage.

The VDD capacitor is not required for this device; however, if the input supply is noisy, then good design practice is to place a 0.1μF to 1µF bypass capacitor between the VDD pin and the GND pin to make sure enough charge is available for the device to power up correctly. VDD must be at or above VDD(MIN) for start-up delay
(tSTRT + tD) to begin and for the device to be fully functional.
