6.3.15 Overvoltage Protection

The TPS55287 has output overvoltage protection. When the output voltage at the VOUT pin is detected above 23.5 V (typical), the TPS55287 turns off two high-side FETs and turns on two low-side FETs until its output voltage drops the hysteresis value lower than the output overvoltage protection threshold. This function prevents overvoltage on the output and secures the circuits connected to the output from excessive overvoltage.
