8.1 Application Information

The TPS55340-Q1 device can be configured in several standard switching-regulator topologies, including boost, SEPIC, and isolated flyback. For example, the device configured in boost topology is widely used to convert a lower DC voltage to a higher DC voltage with a maximum available switching current of 5.25 A. Use the following design procedure to select component values for a boost converter design or SEPIC design for the TPS55340-Q1 device. Alternately, use the WEBENCH® software to generate a complete design. The WEBENCH software uses an iterative design procedure and accesses a comprehensive database of components when generating a design.
