PRODUCTION DATA.
The capacitance of the input capacitor should be at least twice the capacitance of CCP. At least a 22-μF ceramic input capacitor is recommended for a good transient behavior of the regulator and EMI behavior of the total power supply circuit. The capacitor must be located as close to the VIN and GND pins as possible. Only ceramic capacitors like X7R, X5R or equivalent are recommended. A 0603 size 2.2-µF ceramic capacitor in parallel to the main input capacitor is recommended to reduce high frequency noise. The input capacitance can be increased without limit. Table 7 shows recommended capacitors.
