The VOUT pin has a discharge circuit to connect the output to GND, once the device is disabled. This feature prevents residual voltages on the output capacitor. The discharge circuit becomes active when VIN drops below VUVLO, EN=low, or thermal shutdown occurs. The minimum supply voltage required to drive the discharge switch is typically 2 V.
