10.2.2.1.1 Source Power Delivery Profiles for Type-C Ports

Table 10-4 lists the summary of the source PD profiles that are supported for this specific design. PDO 1 and 2 will always be present in the system and will be able to be negotiated without any other system interaction. When DC barrel Jack voltage is sensed PDO 3 will become available for power delivery negotiation. The external sense resistor, RSENSE, is configured to only measure the current being sourced by the system. When operating as a sink of power the input current cannot be measured in this configuration.
