7.4.1 Operation With VIN < 3 V

For voltages below 3 V and above VUVLO(FALLING), the LDO continues to operate but certain circuits can possibly not have the proper headroom to operate within specification. When the input voltage drops below VUVLO(FALLING) the device shuts off again.
