Upon exceeding the TPS7H1121's thermal shutdown temperature limit, the integrated thermal shutdown circuitry activates to turn-off the device when the die temperature exceeds TSD(enter). As the die cools below TSD(exit), the device resumes regulation. The typical TSD(enter) of 160°C and TSD(exit) of 130°C provides a large hysteresis (30°C typical). The large hysteresis is intended to allow the device to sufficiently cool before attempting to resume regulation.
