Overview

The UA78M fixed-voltage, integrated-circuit voltage regulator is designed for a wide range of applications. The UA78M supports a wide range of input voltages and delivers 500mA of load current.

This device features internal current-limiting and thermal shutdown mechanisms. To provide reliable operation across wide VI ranges, the current-limiting mechanism modulates the load current capacity both by monitoring the VO level and the difference between the VI and VO voltage levels. The operating ambient temperature range of the device is –40°C to +125°C for all variants.
