8.4.1 Enable Pin

Setting the EN pin low, VEN≤0.8 V, shuts down both outputs simultaneously. Pull the EN pin high (or left open), VEN≥2.0 V, allows UCC21521 to operate normally. The EN pin response time is in the range of 20ns and quite responsive, which is as fast as propagation delay. The EN pin is only functional (and necessary) when VCCI stays above the UVLO threshold. It is recommended to tie this pin to VCCI if the EN pin is not used to achieve better noise immunity.
