8.3.17 Over-Temperature Protection

The controller has built-in thermal protection. If the controller junction enters an over-temperature condition, the controller shuts down. The fault response (latching or auto recovery) depends on the device variant, per Table 3. There is 10°C hysteresis in the over-temperature trip point, the controller only restarts if the junction temperature has dropped by at least 10°C below the trip level.
