8.5.5 Full-Duplex Operation

The serial interface supports full-duplex operation. Full-duplex operation allows the simultaneous transmission and reception of data in one frame. For example, the register read command for the next register can be input at the same time that data of the previously addressed register are output, which doubles the throughput when reading multiple registers. An example of full-duplex operation is illustrated in Figure 8-30.
