PRODUCTION DATA
The DLPA3000 power management IC has the capability to flag several faults in the system, such as overheating, low battery, power good, and overvoltage faults. If a certain fault condition occurs, one or more bits in the Table 8-5 are set. Setting a bit in the Main Status register (0x0C) triggers an interrupt event, which pulls down the INT_Z pin. Interrupts can be masked by setting the respective MASK bits in the Interrupt Mask register (0x0D). Setting a MASK bit prevents the INT_Z from being pulled low for the particular fault condition. The high-level faults can be read in the Main Status register (0x0C), while the lower-level faults can be read in the Detailed status register1 (0x27) through Detailed status register4 (0x2A). Table 8-5 provides an overview of the faults and how they are related.
