The current sense resistor RCS1 is calculated as described in the Current-Sense Emulation section where a traditional current-sense resistor design calculation is first performed and then muliplied by the current-sense emulation inverse gain. The traditional current-sense resistor design calculation, denoted RCS(trad), is for when the current-sense resistor is in series with the power switch and is sensing the full power-switch current.
RCS2 may or may not exist depending on the quasi-resonant controller. If RCS2 is used, keep in mind the RCS2 design calculation may assume a traditional current-sense resistor with a very small value that has no impact on the RCS2 calculation. Be careful to ensure the RCS2 calculation accounts for the significant RCS1 value.
