9.1.5 ROM and EEPROM

Some applications need start-up clocks to operate their entire system at power on. Others may need only a valid clock for the logic device (CPU, ASIC, or FPGA) at power on which may then program the LMK5B33414 with custom settings if the default ROM configuration does not meet the application requirements. The LMK5B33414 provides ROM pages to support default output clocks on start-up and an EEPROM to allow customization of the start-up clocks if the ROM pages do not meet the application requirements. See Section 8.4.1.1 and Section 8.4.1.2 for more information.
