9.1 Overview

THVD1410 and THVD1450 are low-power, half duplex RS-485 transceivers available in two speed grades suitable for data transmission up to 500 kbps and 50 Mbps respectively.

THVD1451 is fully enabled with no external enabling pins. THVD1452 has active-high driver enable and active-low receiver enable. A standby current of less than 1 µA can be achieved by disabling both driver and receiver.

THVD14xx family of devices have a higher typical differential output voltage (VOD) than traditional transceivers for better noise immunity. A minimum differential output voltage of 2.1 V is specified with VCC voltage of 5 V ±10% to meet the requirements of PROFIBUS applications.
