7.1 Overview

The TMP116 is a digital output temperature sensor that is optimal for thermal-management and thermal-protection applications. The TMP116 is two-wire, SMBus, and I2C interface-compatible. The device is specified over an operating temperature range of –55°C to +125°C. Figure 17 shows a block diagram of the TMP116. Figure 18 shows the ESD protection circuitry contained in the TMP116.
