9.3 Typical Application

Typical applications are shown for several port counts. The TPS23861 is an effective choice for port counts less than the 4 ports provided, and these applications clearly show the connections for unused ports.

Applications are shown for both Auto Mode as well as Semi-Auto Mode. Operation in any mode except Auto Mode require I2C host support. The TPS23861 provides useful telemetry in multi port applications to aid in implementing port power management.
