Legacy-detect operation is described in Legacy Device Detection. The TPS23861 can perform a legacy-detect operation only or a standard detection followed by a legacy-detect operation when directed by the RDETn push-button command in the Detect/Class Restart Register, or in Semi-Auto or Auto Mode when the DETEn bit in the Detect/Class Enable Register is set. Note that in Semi-Auto or in Auto Mode, the port will not automatically power up if a legacy device is detected. In these cases, the port must be powered on by the host.
